Make the USS Enterprise a museum ship

The USS Enterprise CVN-65 is the world's first nuclear powered aircraft carrier, the only of her class and the 8th ship to bear the name Enterprise will be decommissioned in 2014-2015. As of right now her fate is unknown. This historic ship deserves to be preserved as a museum ship so that future generations will know of the hard work and sacrifice of the men and women who served on this majestic and mighty ship. It would be a disservice to her memory for the Enterprise to be cut up into scrap or sunk as a bombing target. Please sign this petition to help preserve one of our greatest modern treasures.
